The Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) is in the last weeks of conducting telephone interview calls for their 2010 SIMA Retail Distribution Study. Surf and skate retailers are being selected and called at random to participate in the study. Should you receive a call, please take the time to answer the questions and participate. Your input is crucial to the future and growth of the industry!
If you have already received a call and participated in the study, thank you. Also, if you have taken the call and completed half of the interview, we encourage you to finish the rest of the interview when you receive a follow up call.
The goal of the study is to obtain surf and skate industry data and statistics covering areas such as regional and channel differences, brand penetration and category sales volume via the phone survey of specialty retailers. The 2010 SIMA Retail Distribution Study will provide an overview of the U.S. surf and skate market in 2010, as well as result invaluable trending data through comparison to the results of SIMA’s previous 2004, 2006 and 2008 Retail Distribution Studies. For more information on the SIMA Retail Distribution Study, please visit http://www.sima.com/news-information/industry-research.aspx.
The top-line data results from the 2010 SIMA Retail Distribution Study will be revealed at the industry’s annual leadership conference, Surf Summit 14 presented by SIMA & BRA, in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, during May 11 – 14, 2011. All participating retailers will receive a free copy of the study results when released (a $5,000 value).
