On June 4th at 4pm, the UCSD bookstore will hold a signing of Izzy and Coco Tihanyi’s book; “Surf Diva: A Girls Guide to Getting Good Waves”. Izzy and Coco are honored to be invited to do a book signing at their alma mater and are dedicated to supporting UCSD.  Both majored in Communication and were actively involved on campus.  Izzy competed with the UCSD Surf Team at the national level while Coco worked at the Associate Students Internship Office. They are dedicated to representing and supporting UCSD from hiring student interns, to event locations and hosting Alumni events. The sisters hope to reach out to all students with this book signing to inspire hope and encouragement as alumna and share their passion for both surfing and fashion!

Alumnae Izzy and Coco Tihanyi are the prime example of how to be successful with a degree from UCSD. Among many things the twin sisters opened Surf Diva Surf School in 1996 to empower females and to introduce more women to the sport of surfing and set out to spread their motto- “The Best Surfer in the Water is the One Having the Most Fun!” Since then the school has become a renowned instructional facility with operations in San Diego, Los Angeles and Costa Rica. They started their own line of Surf Diva Apparel and even opened their own popular Surf Diva Boutique in La Jolla. On top of all that, they also wrote a book for female surfers titled, “Surf Diva: A Girls Guide to Getting Good Waves”.
