ComScore reports that e-commerce sales on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) were $534 million, a 1% increase over 2007. Combined with Thanksgiving Day online sales were up 2% from 2007. Black Friday sales in retail stores were slightly better than initially anticipated believed to be due to aggressive promotions and discounts.
