According to Forrester Research Inc., online holiday sales are expected to rise 8 percent. Will any of this trickle down to online specialty shops in the action sports industry? That is yet to be determined. It is clear however that despite the lingering effects of the global financial crisis, the online space remains the retail industry’s growth engine.
Forrester Research Inc. said it expects online retail sales in November and December to reach $44.7 billion this year, up from $41.4 billion a year ago, providing a bright spot to a retail industry that could see total sales fall.
