Surf Summit 13 is a Must Attend Event for Specialty Board Sport Retailers
Registration for Surf Summit, May 12 – 15th, Now Open!

The Board Retailers Association (BRA) and the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) have come together to present Surf Summit 13, to be held May 12-15, 2010 in Los Cabos, Mexico. Retailers and manufacturers will be reunited at this industry-wide leadership conference focused on education and networking opportunities. Each year, Surf Summit attendees address important issues facing the surf industry, share ideas and help shape the future of the specialty retail marketplace. The format for Surf Summit 13 will be similar to years past with surf sessions in the morning, educational seminars in the afternoon, and attendee dinners and events at night where retailers from across the country will have the unique opportunity to personally spend time with manufacturing executives.

“With all the excitement surrounding the reunion of retailers and manufacturers coming back together for Surf Summit 13, the top-notch educational agenda and the unique opportunity to mix and mingle with top industry executives, every board sport retailer should plan on registering for Surf Summit this year,” said Melissa Clary, BRA Executive Director. “It is the single most important industry event of 2010 in regards to your business and livelihood. BRA has worked hard to keep the cost of retail attendance as affordable as possible with BRA members receiving a special retailer registration rate. Shop owners should take advantage of this unique event to build friendships and relationships that will benefit your business for years to come.”

Confirmed Surf Summit 13 speakers include Blake Mycoskie, founder of Tom’s Shoes; Tom Kelley, GM of IDEO, the design firm responsible for the Apple mouse, Polaroid I-Zone and other cool stuff who will be speaking on innovation at both the corporate and retail level; Steve Rizzo, a professional speaker and bestselling author who will address optimism and fun while embracing challenges; and Susan Ershler, a motivational speaker who has climbed all seven summits of Mount Everest in 2002 while running a Fortune 500 company.
